Yeah, sounds like this gal is thinking about leaving the cult but not ready to, so she's using Adam as a bridge to reality.

Or worse, she's hoping you'll fall in love with her so she can "convert" you.

Do most cult members actually acknowledge they're in a cult?

Most of the wack-a-doo cult crazies I see on TV say they belong to the, "One true faith under the Grand Prophet!" or some such nonsense.

They absolutely don’t think they’re in a cult. They think that they have “the Truth.” All the other groups that have similar beliefs are cults, though. It’s interesting how that works. LOL

The people who point out the strong evidence (backed by solid research) that shows that they are in a cult are “persecuting” them.

Well, she might not have said "I'm in a cult" verbatim, but saying "I'm a scientologist" or "I'm a Jehovah's Witness" amounts to basically the same thing.

I straight up said that she's in a cult and even showed her a bunch of links confirming it, and of course that brought on the "OMG I can't believe you asked Google about my beliefs instead of me! Every single one of those websites grossly misrepresented me and none of them are true! I guess you're not the person I thought you were! I feel so betrayed!" rant.

I’m a devout atheist. Of course, that does make me a Satanist in a way. Jesus says in Luke 11:23: “He that is not with me is against me...” (ASV). That would put me squarely on Satan’s side.
