Sometimes I wear men’s band tees because they are easier to find than women’s. I worry because I was wearing an AFI Sing the Sorrow shirt and I said, “I think some guys would like my shirt” and was told that guys wouldn’t like it.

I’m concerned that how I dress (sometimes I do dress girly without the use of dresses and skirts) makes me come off as transgender and masculine. I got dumped one time because of my wearing guys t-shirts sometimes. I’m wearing a men’s Japanese PlayStation shirt and a women’s blue and red flannel and love it. I’m just worried that I’m not prim and prissy enough to truly be cisgender. I am cis btw

Many guys dig women who wear comfortable clothes.

My first lover was the type to wear jeans and rock-n-roll t-shirts. She was, most definitely, a feminine girl regardless of how she dressed.

Don't worry about this. A good man would be attracted to you and not be turned off by what you wear. Have you heard of "boyfriend jeans"? Many guys, myself included, like it when their girlfriend, wife, wear some of their clothes. I had a girlfriend that would wear some of my well worn jeans around in public and I thought they looked great on her. Or wearing one of my long sleeve button up dress shirts around the place as a night shirt of sorts.

Would it bother you if a guy wore a women's shirt? One that looked exactly like a man's shirt except that the buttons are on the wrong side,

Heck no. People should wear what makes them happy

i believe most people can't even notice the different between men and woman t-shirts.

the problem (which isn't really a problem) can be that some boys may prefer girls with girly clothing, like soft colors, flowers and more preppy itens than band t-shirts but then... this is not who you are, right? so probably you wouldn't be a good fit even beyond clothing.

I wear rock shirts all the time (and yes, for the record I do listen to the music of the bands whose shirts I wear), and personally if a guy doesn't like that, then it's not really any skin off of my back. I'm not looking to get into a relationship to begin with. Just me, though.

Perhaps I'm a bit obtuse (or my "Sell By" date has expired), but what is a "men's band"? Are there really bands whose appeal is defined by gender?

Band t-shirts are usually black, and usually portray a particular band (e.g., Led Zeppelin), and usually have some sort of art similar to that found on record albums before the advent of CD’s.

"Men's" refers to the design of the T shirt with regard to things like cut and fabric used. The fabric is often heavier and the shape is rectangular, which is the cheapest to produce. A woman's T is usually cut to highlight a narrow waist. Side stitching is added to bring in the waist. This costs more.

"Band" refers to the artwork printed on the T shirt.

My latest skill is being able to cut apart a T shirt and sew it back together into one that fits me!

It wouldn't bother me at all. My girlfriend dresses kinda nonfeminine sometimes & has worn some of my shirts before. She also wears men's shoes. I really don't see what the big deal would be.

I know a girl who's favorite music was best described by her as 'dad rock'. I don't see odd music tastes as an issue, they can be a really interesting way to relate to people.

Not a thing that would even register for me. Besides, the whole "boyfriend shirt" thing is hot.
