Well if it seems in some way to have been successful for you, and given in many ways Asperger's can make meeting people/flirting/dating in real life extra-difficult, then maybe you needn't rule it out.
Clearly you are well aware of the down sides.

NO!. But actually in the light of your stated experience my answer would be: "Why not, when and if you feel so inclined?"
