My brother told me today that apparently his current girlfriend confessed too him that he really fancies my dad

My brother needs some advice because he’s feeling really depressed about this. Any advice you could give him maybe?

I would say: find another girlfriend.

Even if this girlfriend starts fancying your brother again, she'll use the "fancying his dad" thing against him.

IMO, I do think that this is something they can move past. From what you said, she hasn’t hit on him or make any other sort of move. Anybody who is in a relationship will find others attractive.

But I guess what might makes it more serious is that it’s his dad. Regardless, if the both of them still want to be together, they’ll be together.
