Sounds about right! The way guys delude themselves about this never ceases to amaze me.
Reminds me how as a teenager I knew this guy who would keep telling me (and other guys) how this girl totally wants him. He literally said "she wants to f**k me! Yep! I know it! She wants to f**k me!" Knowing the girl and the relationship between them, it was just laughable to me.
It's been recently pointed out to me I might be at the other extreme, though...
That's the male pursuer trait - an evolutionary advantageous trait inherited from the ape days.
