I didn't get many comments in the Adult forum, so I invite you all to read my rather sentimental essay on Dr. Andrew Shaner's new theory of schizophrenia as the "ugly extreme" of a sexually selected fitness indicator.

In particular, I want your views on the second-to-last paragraph, where I bring up the Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings.

Thanks!

ok enough factually ect

but you make it sound like all ppl who fail at courtship and being attractive ect have schizo (and that that's why they suck at both... which is a diff concept).... it's a weak connection yet pretty important if you want to make your case.

just make it a lil more coehesive and it'll flow better conceptually

Thanks. I changed "these people" to "some of these people" in the sixth paragraph just for that.

Is it going to be negative? If it is I’d rather not read it, I prefer ignorance.

If you saw someone drowning in a lake, would you shut your eyes, walk past him and whistle?

i was thinking more about like nixing that line "and this is called schizo".... it's a short one-liner at the end of some paragraph roughly midway into the essay....

say something else like of all the normal tribulations in this area ect... one type that affects some percentage of potential mates (without their knowing!) is schizo.

or something like that

you cant just make it seem like schizo is the cause of all dating faux pas' .... i wouldnt even describe it as a majority in any case... as there are way more NT(even) people who suffer from dating and being unattractive....

and that reminds me... how does schizo make you specifically unattractive? phsyically? or you should specify behaviorally.

just work on your schizo introcution angle.... it's something that changing one word isn't gonna really fix

I interspersed quotes from the original article to fill out the paragraph and ease the transition.

Quote:

It shouldn't seem that way. The article focuses on schizophrenia in particular, but does not generalize to everyone who has trouble with the opposite sex.

Both. Studies have shown that schizophrenics are more likely to have crooked teeth, for example.

No I can't actually whistle. Well that's not true I can sort of half whistle not very well. But sure I throw them a rope. I've done that thing where you backstroke with one arm hold the person above water with the other and fetched weights from the bottom of the pool with clothes on. It does depend how cold it is and how easy it is to get back out, whether I’d jump in.
