There are also scammers who don't like to video chat, so be careful.

Yup, if they're not willing to video chat, it could mean that they're just shy, but it could also indicate that you're talking to a potential scammer/catfish. I'd suggest proceeding with caution.

I hate video chatting or talking on the phone. Because of that, I know women would be wary of me, thinking I'm a scammer.

I video chatted with a girl last night, went pretty well. It started with a phone call, which I also don't like, and then led to the video chat. There was definitely a difference in my mood compared with the phone and the video--a lot more silent pauses.

It is possible they don't like video chating but I would be extra careful though if the person who doesn't like to video chat starts coming up with sob stories and they need money to get out of a jam run away as fast as you can
