I always wonder why I’m attracted to younger men. I think it’s because of my Aspergers, I do think very young for my age, next month my birthday, I will be 50 8O 8O

I spent most of my life being attracted to younger guys.... it was largely because I didn't know what guys my own age looked like.

If you are on dating sites, you should be able to filter or set an age range, so you could try setting it to only look for men who are 45-55 (or whatever you consider an acceptable age gap).

I was like you, I didn’t know what guys looked like my own age too. I’m on OkCupid & Coffee Meet Bagel.

My current casual partner is 4 years younger than I am and I think he's made me prefer this to older men now.

I'd be curious how common this is among folks on the spectrum, for het-men it's hard to untangle from general social norms (although if it's far more common and more exaggerated that might make it easier to spot), but if it's common across the board it might suggest something about how we perceive ourselves in society (basically I think we tend to be 'mentally young')

4 years is a negligible age difference.

Yeah, the older one gets the less four years matters.

I'm sure he'll find someone closer to his own age and life experiences to settle down with though. (: He's a good guy.

I'm 32 and into younger guys.

I wouldn't go with one becuase I'm happy being single & I don't like their personalities. They always seem to be pretty arrogant & have a chip on their shoulders.

But I'm not physically attracted to men my age. They might be buff or handsome to people predominantly into guys but they don't have/rarely have that androgynous beauty anymore so I'm not into them.

If I dated someone it would be a woman my age but young men are lovely to look at.

And because I'm aspie/look young, guys my age are usually scoping me out when they think I'm younger than I am and want to get predatory about it. Guys right up to their 60s do it (yuck). So I owe them nothing, no apologies for only looking & not sending gross DMs etc.

I was always into older guys when I was younger, but I was too young for them. Now I'm older I like men my own age... Unfortunately none of them are single.

The only single men I meet are in their mid-20s. The weird thing is I feel I get on with them easier than I did with guys in their 20s when I was in my 20s, if that makes sense. I've always been a bit out of step with my own age group.

But now I'm too old.

You can't win lol.

I've dated one or two years younger but, usually, five to ten years older...which is weird given I looked 18 yrs. until I was 36...which is also weird because when I was 18 my girlfriend was 36 (we dated two years). [edit: that's okay, though. She knew my family. They hired her to babysit me when I was born. LOL.]

When I was a young woman I was attracted to much older men. These relationships ended up disastrously. I am now married to a much younger man and we are very happy.

I worded it strangely, it's supposed to say "the older you get the four year age gap matters less and less."
