Recently someone suggested I try a dating site. I only once briefly tried a dating site in the past and closed the account after I was too shy to message anyone and no one messaged me, and besides, the nearest suitable ladies were around 100 miles away... So I closed the account after not that long.

But I have been concerned about trying any dating sites. What happens if there are hidden charges where one could be paying ones entire life?

I looked at the free one and it says there is no charge and it is completely free. But in the smallprint it says they reserve the right to charge in the future if they should want to. It does not specify if they will do in future years, how long the future is or how mucn they will charge etc... I find the lack of details potentially confusing.

Also I see members who have not been on for years. Do some sites not allow members to delete their profiles if they decide to leave the site?

Sorry. Many questions as I know nothing!

I will offer you what little I do know....

On the app Bumble, you can sign up and swipe right on girls for free. But if you want to reply to a girl's message, you will have to pay the app.

Source: I have talked to guys IRL who have used this particular app.

eHarmony charges both men and women to sign up, so nothing for free (except maybe browsing other users' pics). This info is about 3 years old....

I am unsure about paywalls for Tinder or OKc, so someone else will have to answer for those...
