I live in the Grants Pass area.. 34 or something (i honest to god rarely remember my own age) and feelin pretty hopeless bout finding a significant other. I'm a Scorpio.. Scorpio ascending, BUT my moon is in Leo.. making me a person who needs lots of attention and validation. But I'm someone who can give the same.. and loves to wherever/however I'm able.

I like metaphysical stuff, artsy fartsy crafty stuff of all sorts. I love to visit and hang out with friends, though my isolated "out in ye sticks" home makes making friends difficult.

Just broke up with a guy from California. A truly good man.. but I just felt we weren't right for eachother. And.. the distance.

I want a partner here close to me. But man.. just how does one meet someone close when ALL dating apps cost (and ur dead poor) and you suck at online communication (I'm a bit odd even among my fellow aspis and NDs lol).

So.. mm. I unno? Dunno if I'm asking for advice.. Tryin to find someone to talk to.. Or just complaining?

..All three, most likely lol.

On Tinder theres a trick to see who likes you on browser on computer and I think on most apps you should messages people instead of liking them, sometimes after you like them you lose their contact ability unless they like you back. But okcupid and taimi seem better than tinder, taimi especially.

The best alternative is probably going out and trying to make friends. Cafes, restaurants, places people gather in but right now people won't want you approaching them bc of covid.

I'd wait with "hunting" until the covid vaccine kicks in properly, where you are.
They should give people a vaccination card to prove people have had it.
The airlines, here in Australia, want proof before they let you on the plane, btw.

I tried LOTS of dating sites out during my 8 year stretch of being single & some sites charged the men & not the women in order to try & keep a higher ratio of women to men on them. Some other sites were free but charged a fee to be at a higher spot on searches. I haven't really used dating sites in 10 years thou so things could of changed a lot with em. Perhaps some other members here can recommend some that you could use for free. Or you could go to lots of various sites & checking to see but that can be a huge pain. Lots of people nowadays find relationships on social media. You could try searching on Facebook for profiles in your area or groups or pages for various things in your area.

All 3 relationships I had were long distance & the distance definitely contributed to my 1st two ending. I was very willing to relocate but moving in with my two exes would not of been an option for a while cuz they were dependent on their parents who would of been against it & I'm also dependent & cant really handle living alone. However I did move from Louisiana to Vermont to be with my current girlfriend after like 8 months & a few trips back & forth. She cant really handle living alone either cuz she's disabled but she has various benefits including housing. My point is that LDRs can sometimes work if one person is willing & able to relocate 1ce things get serious. I'm sure relocating & even traveling could potentially be alot harder rite now cuz of Covid but you could still try finding people online to chat with & wait a while before entering an official relationship weather they are nearby or not.

BTW you sound like my current girlfriend. She used to be very religious & spiritual & had a bit of friends from church. She's also into arts & craft type stuff thou she used to be more into it. I'm NOT like her in any of those ways but we both love being close & affectionate within a romantic relationship & I try my best to encourage her & support her how I can. She's alot more accepting of me than anyone else is & she thinks I understand her issues better than anyone else does. So our relationship works for us but we are both always trying cuz the work & negatives are worth it to us.

Dating apps cost money?

Aren’t they free to download and use? Pof, tinder, bumble etc ?
