and a lot of guys, men do this, i figure many just don't bother disclose it, a lot of them pay for sex, go to an escort or sex worker just to rid themselves of the v-card, the effects on mens mental/emotional health no doubt vary for those who do that

Ironcally people in those areas can assume that a virgin guy is a closseted homosexual & he can get flack for being gay even thou he is not; I know this one 1st hand.

Don't guys who sleep around and have one night stands also live on their own? who is giving you flack?

In Australia wherever I've lived neighbors don't talk to you or give you any mind.

Well it’s not great being made fun of for being a virgin.

Most likely I will wind up being the ‘40 year old virgin’.

Why? Can you go to Europe? Do you have 50 euro?

Theoretically, someone could never have a girlfriend and have sex with thousands of women. There is 365 days in a year. There are women who have had sex with 10,000s of men of their own free will. It is a reality.

i read this from an article about celebrities, famous people, who are known to have paid for sex:

"You would think that being famous, popular, or rich, is enough to get people to sleep with celebs for free very easily, but that's not always the case.

The truth is, celebs or famous people, are still human and aren't immune to the desires of a quick fix that requires no game, seduction, attraction, leading, or courtship."

I barely found out today, that Justin Bieber is reported to have paid for sex as well.

Part of my point was basically anyone can have sex with 100s if not thousands of people if they want. There is a sex industry in many places. Basically, in a relationship I would expect to have to deal with things like being taken advantage of or being taken for granted. It is nice that people recognize the need for people to develop skill in this area. I don't think anybody ever thought to think that I may have needed help with that back in my day.

i thought i also heard something, it used the be more of the norm, several generations or decades ago, Fathers would take their sons to lose their virginity to a brothel, or its not unusual or not unheard of at all, for a lot of men to lose the v-card to a sex worker.

Well, this is really a long time ago. Those days you only had to pay a couple of brass coins to have the local tavern wench.

In the show American Dad, Stan took his teenage son Steve to Mexico to lose his virginity because Stan wanted Steve to quit playing with toys & grow up. The pair got captured by a drug cartel.

First it needs to be destigmatized and clients need to be regulated (no drunken frat boys or sociopaths) so as to minimise psychological or physical abuse of the girls providing these services.

In my view "sex therapy" should be a legitimate occupation or profession.

its possible that if it was to become legal and regulated, it could possibly prevent incel-related violence, for example, Elliot Rodger.

Elliott Rodger would have wanted the prostitute/escort to come up to HIM. Practically sit on his lap.

If people are going to discuss female sex workers, kindly refer to them as women and not girls.

Well yes, but it would also provide meaningful professional employment for women who want to work in the industry and not coerced because of pimps, drugs or human traffickers.

Sorry my bad. In Australia "girls" = young women but I can see the ambiguity.
