To be honest, iv'e considered going the route of trying to find a long distance girlfriend. I know it's not ideal but it may be one of the few realistic options that I have since I haven't had much luck meeting women in person or in my area. I made an OkCupid account nearly a month ago and at first, I only got 1 or 2 matches from my area. But when I changed my search settings to "everywhere", all of a sudden I got 20+ matches from all around the world, many of these women were somewhat attractive too. I'm sure some of them are bots, particularly those who only have 1 picture in their profile, but some of them looked like legitimate women. So maybe going the online route is the way to go.

I met the 3 girlfriends I had on online forums & all 3 relationships were long distance. Two were just the next state over thou & my current was on the other side of the country & I moved in with her after about half a year. I felt trapped living with my parents & was very open to the idea of relocating. I had NO luck meeting women offline but I did not have luck on dating sites either thou. LDRs can be very challenging in some ways but if one of you is open & able to relocate 1ce things get serious, that can potentially relieve some of the strain. It sux when your physically away from each other & are majorly missing them. Or if they are dealing with something & your not there to help.
