Why are eyes that are to 'big' in shape not always considered to be attractive?

I posted a photo of myself on yahoo answers and someone commented that my eyes were to big. I know my eyes are not blue in colour there more like greeney brown and I think most women lust after men who blue eyes.

You eyes may not be too big; maybe your head is too small.

Big eyes are attractive in women.

Theyre irrelevant (at best) to male attractiveness.

Or thats my understanding.

Apparently deep set 'hunters eyes' are what's attractive in men. Yes big eyes, are considered cute on women.

I have small hands, too.

And rather big, sunk-in eyes.

Never had a problem because of either of those things.

People say things on the Internet just for the hell of it. I wouldn't bother to "listen," if I were you.

People like big eyes on women because it makes them look younger, like children.

The "big-eyed, innocent look of wonder" makes men feel protective and virile.

It's kind of a creepy reason, actually.

It's the same reason many people like blonde hair on women.

Blonde hair is mostly seen on children, and when girls age their hair normally darkens to light brown.

Big eyes also imply a state of innocence, or the quality of having no experience or knowledge of things more complex or unpleasant than what a child is expected to experience. Thus, a person with big eyes may be assumed to have no evil intent or ulterior motive (whether or not they actually do) no matter what their age may be.
