Does your partner or significant other drain or energise you?

People drain me

For me, it depends on the person.

I would hope for most people the answer would be energize. If a partner for the majority drains you("you" meaning in general not YOU OP specifically) then you might need marriage counseling or call it quits on the relationship.

A partner is there to compliment your life not bring it down. Now I'm not saying that your partner won't ever drain you because you will get in arguments or something may happen to them that they can't just fix on the fly but, for the most part they should energize you if not energize at least improve your day in someway. Like I said if it's mostly draining then you and that person have some thinking to do about the relationship and whether you want to take the steps to improve it and make it better or break it off.(If kids are involved I suggest making it work regardless because now the consequences not only affect you but your children as well).

If i like the person, they energize me. If i don't, they drain me. If i'm ambivalent or indifferent, i'm neutral, and maintain homeostasis.

Tsion energized me. I don't think I'd make someone who drains me my partner.

I've had a few long-term partners (I was actually married to two of them), and despite having no shortage of fondness for them during those relationships, they would drain me. I don't know that any human being has ever energized me. I'm not built for continual companionship. I do best in relationships when I don't have to see the person too often. Then I can manage and be relatively alright when I do see them... take recover time and all that.

Drains me. Too paranoid.

My wife used to energize me. But after 24 years together she now drains the heck out of me to the point that divorce is a real possibility. I'm sure that's not unusual after a long time together.

He turns me on so I guess that means he energises me.

My boyfriend energises me. I think I drain him though. But he's still grateful for the love I give him and he appreciates me in every way.

People always drain me a lot more than they energize with the exception of my romantic partners. My current girlfriend does drain me sometimes but she usually energizes me a lot more. I'm sure she'd say the same about me.

99% of people drain me. A major reason why my partner is my partner is that she doesn't.

Energises or alternatively sudues into peaceful comforterbility.

I couldnt be involved with somebody who 'drains' I experience enough of that while interacting witha certain % of NT's on an everyday basis.
