I don't know it's not something I've ever thought about before.

I notice things go quiet where spending activity is concerned towards the end of the month before people get paid. Or some people just like to look for a cheaper option when they have less money.

Maybe if people have less money they get a takeaway and a bottle of wine and stay at home

Going out on the town can be quite expensive, depending on how much alcohol one consumes or what one eats.

Yeah it's well dear these days. I like having a meal when I go out though and then I'm usually too stuffed to drink alcohol so I'm a cheap date. But I'm a really messy eater so I make up for it in that way

I am sure you are a great date, BB.

Going out on the town is a rip off really, especially if you live in a city where everything seems even more expensive.

Wetherspoons is okay for the price. But because it is so cheap, relative to other places, it is super crowded usually and there is no music/atmosphere there at all.

The food isn't very nice at Wetherspoons either, imo.

In some places you can pay more than double that for a drink, and if you have several drinks, it can add up with some food thrown in, or drinks bought for other people.

The breakfast is the best offering from Wetherspoons, I agree.

Yeah you can't whack a weatherspoons breakfast and it's only about 6.99 or something like that.

The food in some weatherspoons is quite good but in some you're lucky to even get a table because they're so busy so you have to balance your plate in one hand. It can get a bit tricky

I had a burger from Wetherspoons and I thought it was awful. The burger was overcooked with the texture of cardboard.

And it was served in a brioche bun instead of a regular bread bun and I don't like brioche buns - they are too sweet for a bread. Yuck.

I make homemade brioche. It’s delicious, and it smells lovely when it’s baking. (Brioche isn’t always particularly sweet.)

Admittedly, I have limited experience of brioche, so I'm sure there will be more appeal to it than I give it credit for.

My new pub routine will be going out at 10 at night and leaving at closing time at 1 in the morning

Do you think it’s a good routine or not? Before I would be going out at like 3 in afternoon and leaving the pub at 1 in the morning

What do you get out of being at the pub?

It sounds like the people there don't like you.
You say you don't really drink much.
You've never had much luck meeting women there.
You seem to frequently end up in dodgy situations which cause you angst and confusion.

What exactly is the appeal?
