I dated a member once(online), but it turned out that we were incompatible in the end. I'd just like to find out who and who hasn't "dated" someone on this site, to confirm that posting on the singles list is, indeed, rather hopeless.

I met GalileoAce online. Then 4 months later I met him in rl. Now we are married. Internet relationships can work in the end.

^Hypnotised by your avatar....

I actually met GA on a Yahoo group but we didn't really talk. Then on WP, we had a disagreement about Star Trek. We PMed each other about it and then we got to being friends and used Skype to call each other. I had some money saved and travelled to Melbourne to see him for a week. We had an awesome time. GA then saved money for 9 months so he could move to Perth to live with me. We don't have much money and I am terrible at communicating, but we love each other to bits.

That's awesome renaeden...

I have a habit of becoming hopelessly attached to people on this site I couldn't possibly be with. I am not a big online communicator... but online relationships seem to start out the best... you can get to know someones thoughts and passions and just quietly observe for a while.

Ideally I need to grow attached to someone online... who is local enough so that when the time is right we can get together in person and maintain a relationship that way.

I don't have it in me to maintain a relationship over long distance.

I met up with Raylynn a few times this summer, but we're just friends.

I don't really like the term "dated", but I have an adult friendship, as it were, with a female whom I first interacted with on this site. I've posted about this before, but think it's useful for others to know that it's not a waste of time trying to meet people here for some sort of relationship. It's certainly not going to be an everyday occurrence, but it's becoming less of a long shot due to the growing membership increasing the probability of a compatible person living within travelling distance.

In many ways lots of you youngsters with AS are extremely lucky to have places like this, and I wish that these opportunities had been available when I was in my teens or early twenties.

Congratulations. I like stories like that. :)

And the answer to the question is yeah, I am.

Nope. To my knowledge there aren't any single females in my area who are on this site.

There are some I'd be willing to date under different circumstances. But no, no plans to.

If OR means Oregon, I am pretty close. I think there are others... but I guess they're mostly males.

I'm still hopelessly fancying someone.

Masochist that I am.

Nope, never dated anyone online or off. I think online dating would be kind of lame anyway.
