Looking for Connection – from Someone Who Understands

Hello,

I’m a 63-year-old autistic man living a very isolated life in the North East of England. I’ve spent most of my life in silence — caring for others, but never really having anyone close to me. I live with autism, depression, and long-term health problems.

I’ve never had a lasting emotional connection, and it’s something I still quietly long for — even now.

I’m not expecting anything grand. I’d just really value chatting with someone who understands what it’s like to be neurodivergent, alone, and older in a world that moves too fast.

Ahoy-hoy John, I'm half your age, but at times the strife I have endured makes me forget my age. I've known many close connections, but I can relate to simply and silently caring for others. I often feel that a great many things go unsaid in life. It is tragic that some of these things never find a voice, but the fact they exist is still something of value.
