When you have feelings for someone but can't do anything about it?

I know I hate it. I really like someone, but there's nothing I can do about it.

You bet your ass I hate it. They usually want to talk to me but I'm too f***ing ball-less to do anything about it.

You want to know why? It's kinda like that line in A Beautiful Mind: "He's got the advantage now but wait until be opens his mouth".

The worst part is when the person you like is someone you know online.

It's pretty much the story of my life, and the very few times I force myself to say something I screwed it up real bad. I'm so used to it now I'm not sure if hate isn't too strong a word.

WHY is there nothing you can do about it?

The person is too far away?

The person is already spoken for?

You're unable to get past your fear and tell him/her?

Unless the person is married, I don't see where the harm (or impossibility) is of telling that person you find them attractive. It may kill the dream if they don't reciprocate, but you won't be wasting your life pining away either. ;)

Too far away. On the other side of the world to be exact.

It's not who I was going to guess then.

OH! Now I got it. 8)

Well my attraction level to someone is mostly based on their attraction to me, so I don't get that much anymore...

I wish someone found me interesting enough to date (assuming I find her just as interesting).

I hate it when I have feelings for someone and they obviously have feelings for me, but they are in denial about it.

As far as I'm concerned, distance is no reason not to share your affection for someone.

If that person is married or in a steady, serious relationship, that information might be unwelcome.

What would be the harm in emailing (or better, writing) a nice letter and sharing that for whatever reasons you might have, you like them and think they're special - and wish they lived closer. Seems harmless and would be welcomed by most people, especially if they're a bit lonely too.
