I am looking to find a person who has some communication, loves movies (esp. the cartoons/comedies), and to go out to eat with a male companion who also loves these things. To be able to socialize together and enjoy company of another, whether talking or just sitting and playing on their Ipads or whatever they may have (alone in a sense)

--- Possibly with supervision from their caregiver and me (I am not a parent, advocating for the parent, I am a caregiver for this young man).

Please respond if you are a parent of an adult and would love to find a fun activity/social partner for your person with autism. Everyone needs someone and a friend esp. on their level who may understand them better than we ever could!

like? do you wipe him after the bathroom? not trying to be an ass..but depending on his level of functioning, there can be an infinite number of girls who want him or none on this planet.

He does all the toileting, showering, day to day functions himself and is independent for the most part at home and in the community. We are not looking for a full fledged girlfriend but if it comes to dating that's great..... just a companion that likes movies and dining out....

You may want to post some information on your whereabouts. Also, having an Aspie companion (or an NT who roams these boards) may complicate things further.
