Do you begin to dislike a guy/girl that doesn't have the same feelings for you as you do for the other person?

I am not sure if this is normal. Does an NT just walk away and say.. "He/she is great, but I will have deal with her not liking me more than a friend".

Kind of. What it comes down to is this: they have their right to their autonomy, you have your right to yours. When you end up in situations where someone's interested in you and your not interested in them, you're glad its that way. Its not even, for the most part, a cerebral or conscious choice as much as it is gut-level and even if you want to be attracted to someone you really can't make it happen if its not there.

If I like someone it is for a reason. There must be something likeable about this person obviously. It would be weird if this suddenly disappears if the other does not like me back. My liking would be very very shallow if that is the case.

What sometimes does happen is I think I like someone, but they turn out different than I thought, but this is quite rare.
