If you ever order food, don't do it when they're about to close. I asked my a manager about it, and she said if she ordered food five to ten minutes before a store closed, she wouldn't eat it.

People don't like it when you order food close to closing time, so they sometimes mess with it (e.g., spit or piss in your food).

It's also rude.

Depends on the type of food/restaurant. If it's fast food, who cares? They'll just toss you something that's been under a heat lamp. If it's a dine in establishment, then chances are they'll close the doors long before they're really closed, so people who are already eating can finish their meals and no newcomers will be served.

I own a diner and totally take offense to your statement.

This is not something that goes on in restaurants. I have worked in the industry for 40 years and have never seen anyone mess with someones food.

I hire good staff and keep it clean and have exceptional meals. We always get a good evaluation from the health department.

If someone comes in two minutes before we close then they get served. Hell, it takes us 1 1/2 to 2 hours to clean up anyway so what difference does it matter if someone is eating still.

Please don't buy into that hidden camera crap. Maybe that happens in a blue moon at places that are questionable. If you worry about this then go to your local Health department webite and look at the evaluations and select restaurants based on how many critical violations they have.

Don't be so offended, it's just something heard from others. I just said it happens, I never approved of it.

Besides, how would you know if it happened?
It wouldn't be that hard to do.

BTW, some of what you say isn't entirely true.
See, my dad worked at restaurant. His co-workers had a bottle of pee that they would sprinkle onto someone's food if they didn't like the person (my dad wasn't part of this). He later found that a disgruntled dishwasher (later fired for another reason) pissed in the onion soup. The dishwasher's friend knew but didn't tell anyone except a small few after the guy was fired.

So, it may be rare, but it does happen from time to time.

Actually, piss is sterile and you probably wouldn't taste it if they sprinkled it on.

I heard from one co-worker that Wendy's hires "crack heads" who will occasionally piss in the pickles.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm always worried that someone did something to my food.

As long as they are open and you should be out by closing its fine although the workers won't like it. If you come in with 5 minutes until closing and you manager is dumb enough to not send them back out you deserve it. Everyone in every job wants to leave early, anyone that gets in the way of that they dislike.

I'm not complaining, just reporting what I heard. Why is everyone is so uptight?

Because you pick up a tips that came from trash can and spreading it would be bad myth (NT habit).

I will order my meal if I want to during open hours. Anybody that mess with my meal should get sued.

By the way, why is this in the Love and Dating section?

Well, if it does happen, it would be good to avoid it (perhaps I'm becoming more NT, which would be good for my social skills). I don't know why this is in the love and dating section.

Something's bound to happen with your food.
