I have no difficulty meeting guys or talking to them on facebook, but when we get together to hang out I have difficulty keeping the conversation flowing and they eventually lose interest. While I don't have aspergers I have bad social anxiety and borderline personality disorder. How do I explain my condition to a guy without scaring him off because my mom has said that I look nervous and unapproachable and that if I smiled more guys would approach me. Anyone else have this problem

Yep I get this all the time. I'm pretty good talking to girls via text based communication, but crap in real life.

Best way to sort it out is to try continuing whatever comes up in a conversation and turn it towards who you're talking to. So if you're talking about films, ask the guy what his favourite films are, then tell him yours, then ask why he likes those, etc.

Easier said than done, I know.

I'm with you there its like technology has made it so easy to talk that its harder in person versus online or via text. I guess I need to practice it and work at communicating better.
