What is so wrong with a girl wanting a guy that will treat her like an equal? He doesn't "strut his stuff" like a Studmuffin. He doesn't "take charge" because they compromise. He gives a sense of security because he's emotionally stable, not because he can lift a small child and throw them the length of a football field like a discus. He doesn't let people push him around (sexually or otherwise), and he doesn't push others around.

That must be one poor sap.
He's a decent, down to earth guy that just wants to lead his own life and respect others, but no girl wants him (apparently) because he's not the "Alpha Male" type.

I think most girls look for a man that treats her like an equal, as a best friend. A relationship is a companionship thats supposed to (in most cases) last for a lifetime, during good and bad times. A relationship must be based on trust and the willing to negotiate and compromise for the benefit of both parts.

I would not be looking for a provider or a "sexual beast", but a nice guy who is easy to be around, stable and responsible, smart with a great sense of humor. Some common interests with me, but also interests on his own.

A nice and charming, intelligent best friend with an attractive appearance :wink: !

I've been thinking about this topic and just noticed, girls do want an a**hole, they probably don't think about it consciously, but life without an a**hole would be quite hard, and would probably kill you, wouldn't it?

What is discriminative, SL? Having an opinion isn't discrimination... an opinion can be bigoted, it can be biased; it can be troubling, skewed, racist... any of a number of things - but it doesn't directly have an affect on you unless that opinion has by extension affected you personally. I'm at a complete loss, to be honest, as your comments had no context. What are we even talking about? For the record, I don't believe that women are looking for an a**hole, or a leader... I find that there are no universal rules for people, and to imply so is to limit my experience of others. Each person needs something different.
