Empty echoes fill my mind of the things I can not hide.
Lifeless rooms with the endless echos of key strokes reminds me of my gloom.

memories of passing moments of cheerful days brings fleeting smiles to my face,
only to look around filled with what I miss, bringing forth an empty frown with my hearts lonely abyss.

tick tick tick of the clock reminds me that not all things are forever,
and that each moment lost can never be recovered.

Love but a fleeting dream seeming only to be fair game by the women.

A part of me cries out that I want to go home, back to when I was a child, to not have the worry or care anymore,
but the days of my youth are now gone and the only home I have left is what I make for my own,

wanting to share with joy and love my life with others, but always ending up alone.

moonlit nighs I wonder around thinking what a good night this would be for romance, and a hand to be held,
only to find my self just dreaming and still yet alone, hurting only my self with reminders and wistful dreaming,

human nature instilled this desire in me, telling me I was not made to be alone.
yet here I am ever yet again, listening to empty echos fill my room.

So, why do you not follow human nature's lust of the flesh?

Originally, so we could reproduce, pass on our genes, and our race would have a better chance of not dying out.

Very strange O.o I dunno if you got the memo, but we Asperger people don't like to communicate in the abstract; we prefer to communicate our thoughts explicitly!

is this another generalisation? It is too hard to put people in the boxes.

What is this memo - where did this information come from?

Anyway - whatever - another lovely poem. I wish I had your way with words Adrenaline.

Pardon? The nuance of metaphor often contains more of the gist for me, the gristle of the meaning, than the effect of staid didactic speech. Thus, the memo you speak of... is it not indicative of this same process? Even if it isn't clear to everyone else, there is something in the image that has significance in my mind. Something to consider... that generalization lacks strength or reason.

It came from the Poetic Affairs Department of the Bureau of Information Generation and Dissemination.

I am not in the mood for "the flesh" and I met a guy who didn't require that from me.
I told him to take a hike.
Was I being hasty?
