I never thought the day would come but I can truly say I am bored with f*****g, I need a meaningful relationship.
I have been doing so much of it latterly that it has started to drag me down.
Finding women to have sex with is not a problem, finding a nice one to be with is so hard
Sign up to any singles web site and with a little work you will find willing women no problem but what it mirrors is what it gets and the women you meet are not the type you would settle down with.

I think everyone has their fill of meaningless sex eventually. These sites you go to, are they for one night stands, dating sites, or relationship sites?

Try to find a nice girl offline. What kind of girl would you want to have a relationship with? I'm guessing she woudn't be the type you bring home with you to play hide-the-sausage.

FWIW I crave a meaningful relationship, but I haven't had my fill of meaningless sex yet.

The sites are for meeting up pure and simple, there is no pretense with it all you both know what you are meeting for.

Seriously now, the poll indicates nothing ....most people on WP were in meaninful relationships ....just surf the adult section. The poll only indicates about the ppl on this section.

Anyway it's my third try at marriage and about my 6th try at a longterm monogamous relationship. And it's still not easy, not by any means. So much compromising on both sides, and me a perfectionist

I never could do the one-night stand thing, I didn't understand or like the rituals, and if I liked a girl for one night I always wanted to take her home and keep her.

I don't recommend "Web dating" exactly - I never tried it but I did put ads in the newspapers and stuff like that for a time. I don't say it can't work, but I think it does give special problems in the early stages. I got the impression that most of the women were acutely embarrassed by the fact that they'd declared their interest in a relationship so overtly, and would later seek to correct that by suddenly vanishing for a week or two or doing other similar ploys, as if things could never be right for them unless I'd chased them or something. That led to a lot of ill feeling........

Maybe you just need to adapt the skills you've got.

However, poll asks different question, about whether one is in a meaningful relationship, to which I voted "no". Have had plenty of meaningless & a few meaningful relationships in past, though much preferred the ones with "meaning" (aka long-term personal interactions). Currently have no relationship whatsoever, alas. Using dating sites hasn't helped thus far. Generally have no way to meet people in "real" offline life (my introversion, agoraphobia, & social anxiety interfere with this).

I voted no about being in a meaningful relationship, but I do still want one.

I voted no, that I'm not in a meaningful relationship, because I've never been in a relationship, period. That's not to say I engage in the promiscuous sex the original poster speaks of; I am just not involved very much at all with women (despite my Herculean efforts).
