I got one too but basically ignored it... I didn't think anything of it until i saw this thread...

I got it and didn't care. I don't understand why people would make a big deal out of it if they know it's fake. I guess they don't want anyone falling for it so they had to alert the mods.

I got that yesterday as well. Had a conclave with the other mods, he/she's banned (miriam) - no worries.

Its principle. Most people would ignore it but, letting it go as harmless is opening the door for more attempts, maybe some less feeble and maybe some finding a vulnerable member who clicks the email, finds out that she's in urgent need of money, and sends him/her half of their life savings.
