From my studying at school, I have noticed that a lot of girls like boys more (usually already together) when they break the law in some way. Some NTs are so stupid at times.

I have totally opposite experiences with being a rebel... but then again, rebel females are a turn-off (at least so I've been told)

Rebels are a thing of the past.

I would call the majority of "rebels" thugs or wannabes since they aren't really rebelling against anything except how to act and dress like it was fashion.

I find it funny how so-called rebelliousness can phase into social conformity.

A true rebel IMO, is one who shifts the paradigms of what is whether it's music, theology, mechanics, etc.. I think these are usually people who start out as nerds or people who don't fit in. Look at many famous composers and inventors that changed the paradigms of tradition, they weren't exactly what you would see as rebels.

I think the word we're looking for is JERKS!

^^yeah maybe I should clarify- I don't do law-breaking

I just have an inner compulsion to disagree. I think it might be ODD (or just being a b***h)

I kind of think it goes with the whole alpha male thing. Women are more attracted to the top guy in anything. So if you rebel and break the law a bit, then you are putting yourself above the law, thus making yourself more alpha.

but when you break the law, you are putting yourself in a position where you can end up incarcerated, and thus being rendered incapable of providing for your family (i.e. not attractive)

Yeah cops are alpha.

If you are really good at something, talent, you are rich, anything really. Alpha means you have to be the top guy in something. The higher status you are the more attractive you are.

This is a theory BTW.

Reconsidering what rebel means to someone, I think we define it as disagreeing but I sort of have to agree with Mr. Bogan that it does seem to be more about leadership than disagreeing.

There are many people that disagree with people including me, it's those that take the risks who we would probably consider rebelious. Although, it's never been a big turn-on for me, I do happen to notice that females do seem to gravitate toward these types of males.

I never did understand this behavior in highschool which is probably why I've done much of the disagreeing with males in this forum. I don't think this is true for every female BTW.

I used to believe that rebels were considered attractive because they rebelled against the evil system. I now know that it is because people are attracted to those who can get the most over their fellow man.
