I am currently separated, but eventually the divorce will go through. I have a job where I have to work weekends. There are a lot of attractive women where I work, but since I got promoted to management, they are unavailable. If I even look in their direction, I will be in trouble.
I have a college degree, but I have to work in a business (caring for mentally ret*d adults where almost 100% of the decently-paying professional jobs are held by women), As a line of work, the mental retardation business is almost as bad as social work that way. When I started working in this business, a high percentage of them were lesbians, but now most of them are straight. The older women at work are mostly white and over 45. They are not hot- think of a lot of polyester power suits and Farrah Fawcett hair styles and really thick Boston accents. The younger ones are heavily minority and often hot-looking in a trashy ghetto way. I think workimg in such a man-hating environment makes me discouraged and pessimistic about women even outside of work.
I tried computer dating, but the women are unrealistic, plus they bore me. Plus, women are fed the line today that they don't need men. How else do you explain such horrible things as single women adopting children or ordering a turkey baster baby from the local sperm bank? Or single people of either sex buying houses?

I'm guessing that your terrible attitude is contributing to your "problems" in finding women. Look again at your post; you have not said one respectful thing about women as individuals, as people. Women are human beings; they make choices, too, and even if those choices don't agree with yours, those women are still entitled to make those choices.

I'm not trying to denigrate you, I'm respectfully trying to get you to see how you're coming across, at least to this woman. Your post is largely insulting to all women.

Do you understand?

Blimey ! !
Stop concentrating on the negative ! !!
Women know the secret to finding a man, it's simple. Go to where they congregate. If you truly want to meet women, start doing things where the women are. They love going to coffee houses, and bookstores. Likewise, a Church is always a good bet (so to speak.) My Missus signed up for a jewelry sculpture class, and not a bloke in sight. Try taking a class of some sort, even if you're not all that interested in the subject. The ladies also appreciate men who fancy animals. Try joining a pet rescue group, you'll be in the kip in no time.
Sitting at home is not an option.
If all else fails, start frequenting a decent pub. (Careful of the female alcoholics, though.)
Quit paying attention to the media, women are on the prowl at all ages. Just recently I was on Holiday and found myself getting chatted up at the hotel bar. Hello ! ! I'm wearing a wedding ring ! ! And I'm not a lookalike for Johnny Depp ! !!

My brother, even when he was not married, wore a wedding ring. This is a good way to meet some women. However be aware of the type of women you will pick up using this tactic. Another very good piece of advice is to read the book called, "The Game." This book is written and contributed to by some of the best pick up artists out there. I don't use these tactics, but I know for a fact that they do work.

All the things I quoted, plus especially what I bolded are to show that your negative attitude towards your situation & seemingly narrow opinions of women are most likely why dating is not your field

p.s. The things I bolded are actually good things b/c independence allows women and men to actually be equals unlike back like in the US 50's when women relied on men for everything b/c of society.

eh? I don't understand how that relates.

I agree with mv and Prof_Pretorius, there is so much negativity in your statements about women. You've not stated what you want in women, rather, you focused on what you don't like about them. Honestly, a lot of what you said gives the impression that you actually may not like women - just my opinion, not an accusation. I'm not implying that you aren't attracted to them, but that there's something that you find distasteful in women in general. I mean it's clear you're frustrated, but why you're frustrated seems to warrant further investigation.

Unless their were extenuating circumstances, I'd slap a guy if he asked me to get him a sandwich. :D :D :D

The sad part of this is there are guys out there that when asked to make you a sandwich will make you one and apologize for how bad of job they did before you even bite into it. What gives? Can't even ask for a sandwich!

awww... I'd make you a sandwich, Pistonhead. I'd just get distracted in the middle of it and you'd probably have to finish. My husband has to make dinner if it includes 3 or more ingredients. I just can't seem to keep it together. :(
