Courtship is an actual relationship. Dating is merely "testing the waters".

What is "dating"?

Picking up a new guy/girl every week, having sex and then moving on to the next person?

NO!! !

"Courting" means I like you. Will you walk out with me? May I come to your home?

"I love and respect you above all others. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife"

"For richer or for poorer, In sickness and in health. Till death do we part"

That is true courtship and honor.

Wow Wombat, I couldn't have said it better myself. I have only been on one date my whole life and it was only just this year and I thought it went well but that was it between us. I wouldn't have even asked her out if my sister hadn't basically force me to.

I think that courtship means that you want to eventually have sex with the person in question. Dating is gambling that you can have sex immediately with somebody.

You don't neccesarily have to have sex. It depends on what the person wants at the time and agrees with.

Sometimes you don't have sex until dating for at least a little bit.

I was gonna say that, many people can be very religious and they want to wait until marriage. I'm a little disappointed in myself because I already lost my virginity but it was never with someone I cared about and the relationships never lasted. I went through some tough times and some strange times...
