This is a thread concerning Aspies (or NTs in relationships with Aspies) who are currently in a relationship. There is no limit on age, IQ or functioning level. This is an issue-focused thread for people interested in compromising their issues in order to remain in a steady stable relationship. You may come here to discuss issues, problems, tips/tricks or advice relating to the stable maintenance of a healthy relationship. This thread doesn't concern meeting people of the opposite sex, nor establishing relationships, but what to do once you are in a relationship.

Hopefully this will have several different ongoing conversations at once, so if you are going to join... please preface your first comment with a relevant note of where you are coming from... so that the person receiving the comment has enough information to evaluate its usefulness.

For example, if someone was asking for marital advice I might enter the conversation with a comment on how I have been married 6 years, so the person can see that I might have some decent advice. Be careful entering a conversation on how to make marriage work with the comment "I have been divorced 5 times" unless the advice is worded very carefully and not offensive or overly emotional, such as "I have been divorced 5 times and I think marriage is for pansies".

I want this discussion to be open and honest, so no hiding information and no lying about your background. I also want this discussion to be as helpful as possible so focus on constructive criticism, no attacks, logical debate only, and be as detailed in your suggestions and advice as possible.

Also, while I would like this thread to be educational for all people, it is focused on relationships (sexual or otherwise) so if you are not in a relationship... feel free to read and seek advice, but be careful about giving advice or commenting on other people's relationships (note: be careful does not mean you cannot participate in this thread).

Also as I love intellectual conversations, feel free to include studies or scientific research for the other members to consider or comment on.

This thread is intended to help people work through their issues not to build more issues. So if any of my comments should be reworded, then you may ask and I will do so.
