Has anyone seen this film yet? The protagonist is very clearly an aspie.

The title hints at us (just a little  ).

BTW, this should be moved to the TV and movies section of the forum.

Looks rather funny though. I'll have to go check it out, saw the previews already.

Isn't the guy from Shaun of the Dead in that one?

Yeah, Simon Pegg. But he lacks co-star Nick Frost and "Shaun"/"Hot Fuzz" director Edgar Wright. And I don't believe there's a Bill Nighty cameo either.... o.O

Pegg can do all right in a film on his own sometimes, like in "Run Fatboy, Run." But at least in that film he had a somewhat classy female lead and got to play off comic actors Hank Azaria and Dylan Moran. From what I understand this is supposed to be a rom-com love triangle, and the two female leads are not very impressive comic actresses. Plus the trailer didn't even make me crack a smile...

Based on the trailer I watched on YouTube, he seemed more the boorish jackass than anything remotely aspie. Being careless and a bit crass may be a social skills problem, but it's of a different type than what aspies experience.

Aside from the movie itself, I love the title. I could write a book based on that title alone.

Oh snap!

Now I know I need to see it if it's got director Edgar Wright.

Hillarious movie!
