13. Actually I started speaking to the girl again recently, I hadn't heard from her since we were 17 and were both 23 now. She's now married a pro actress and living in South Africa, I'm single unemployed and living with my mum. It's so much fun to hear from you're exes on valentines day!

Most people? That's an interesting question. I'm sure there are studies that document it.

Being somewhat standoffish, my first real kiss was at 21. Prior to that, there had been an affectionate kiss on the cheek at 14 and that was it. The older I get and the more places I visit online, the less I am interested in most people and the more I am interested in the extremes, or the middle in the case of bimodal distributions.

It was disconcerting to see my son being kissed by a girl full on the lips at the tender age of 4. She was 5. I wasn't there. The photograph and the occurrence are a great testament to my ex's parenting ability.

In general, I would agree with prior posters. A first affectionate kiss prior to or in the tweens and then a first real kiss during the teen years.

I was 15...both for first affectionate kiss on the cheek and REAL kiss.

Kisses have levels, first kiss, 21 ... first semi enjoyable kiss - 22 or 23 (only when she went for my neck). First kiss that was enjoyable on the lips - 23 24 or so. Waiting till 25 or 26 to have another.
