There's a girl I like, known her for a while and we had our melodrama. Might turn into something now, not sure.
Anyway, I had a dream where I was walking down the street and she called me. I missed the call 'cause my phone screwed up. She called me again right away. She sounded really upset, and she said she needed me to come over. I was getting ready to go over to her house when I woke up.

I was so disappointed when I realized it was a dream. I've always wanted to be needed like that.

When you dream of someone calling you on the phone it means that you want to make contact with the person or that person is trying to contact you. Since she called you it most likely means that she is trying to contact you but you are missing the signals (phone screwing up). This could be a metaphor for you failing to recognize her signals. If that happens she will very likely become upset for feeling dismissed.

With all that being said, you stated that you always wanted to feel needed so it could be just a wish fulfilling dream. If the dream felt very real it was probably a more literal dream in which your subconscious is trying to communicate this message to you. Sounds promising to me...
