Hi mate. I'm 29/m, and I can't stand clubs and pubs either. What sort of girlfriend are you after? Which friend is too busy? A girl you are interested in?

What kind of girls do you think you will meet at pubs and clubs?

If you want to meet "nice" girls then perhaps you should try church groups or art societies.

The type of people you want to find are found in the type of setting those people would thrive in.

I agree that you should be friends first, just because it will make it much easier, and you'll each trust each other more. I never go to bars or clubs...that's definitely not my scene. I think girls that try to look for guys there are just desperate, or just want a "good time" and then that's it. But to find a serious person to go out with, you need to get out there, ask your friends, join clubs, do activities that you like to do and you're bound to find someone there to ask out.

I know what you mean. I thought I found someone I was interested in. Was going to ask her out, but then found out she's engaged. Just doesn't have/wear a ring for some reason. Oh well.

Yes I also don't fit in. Although I fit in slightly more in church than what I do at other gatherings/parties. Also the quality of potential wives is much higher at church than elsewhere. Unfortunately the difficulty of going out with one is also exponentially higher.
