This also happens in real life, too:

Something like that has happened to me before. 5 years ago, I bought NBA Street Vol. 2 and made 2 teams; One consisted of characters from Disney's Holes and the other had Nickelodeon stars on them (Kenan and Kel, etc) and I shared them with others on the IGN board, and they made fun of me, calling me names and stuff. That's terrible that they made fun of you. That's why I love this site because people won't judge. I feel your pain, man.

roydgerdodger knowing when and how to tell people to piss up a rope can be a very useful social skill. There are a couple of other threads that illustrate this at another site we both post on that starts with a lower case z. Letting people glimpse what they perceive as a weakness is not a good idea, keep your Autism to yourself and be ready to slam people who piss you off.

oh I'd keep at it in that thread Roger, keep asking Naw, but really, are you sending me up?

...you'll get various sarcastic replies...

then follow that with more No, I'm serious, you're sending me up? and just keep asking the same question, it will drive them nuts!

PS your website in your sig line is probably a bad idea at that type of forum.

Since you forfeited the option to be aggressive roydger this option is a real good one. Put some effort into pissing them off.

Just ignore them.

They can only hurt you if you allow them to.

Yes, unfortunately, this is something that's really bothering me right now. THe guy I consider (maybe) my best friend often criticizes the things I like (videogames, our common interest), in fact I've decided not to share with him some cool things because of preceeding bad experiences. I know that to some extent it is a general attitude issue, he tends to criticize EVERYTHING in the world (yes, he as psychological issues too) but it's still unpleasant when he breaks my enthusiasm. In fact this is a strange period, I'm trying to understand if I really want to continue seeing him, maybe he is just another mistake of mine in the social realm... Confused.

The guys in that forum sound a bit frustrated to me, don't worry about them.

What douchebags. I'd suggest tracking their IP addresses and then sending them viruses : ) Which is what I would do if I had no ethics.

Wow...that's sad...they have no ounce of sensitivity towards others. What jerks...well, at least you're free to express yourself here on WP :D

I clicked that link and I don't get it. It was just a topic of a lot of people being mean. What's their problem? It appears totally pointless to me, but sadly, I see that happen a lot. Not to me because I only post in forums when I've made sure that they’re mainly inhabited by nice people, but it is common in many places.

I don't really know what I want to say. Just these sort of things tend to upset me. So I that's what I had to say.
