Hi. 29 year-old female from southeastern Pennsylvania. I work long hours for a nonprofit organization and, outside of work, like to spend as much time outdoors as possible and to go hiking whenever I can find someone to drag along with me. I also love to cook, read and recently have been getting into meditation and thinking about writing a memoir. My tastes in music are pretty varied (as you might expect from someone raised by a Cure fan and a hippie, lol) and I like pretty much anything with well-written lyrics that resonate, regardless of genre.

I'm going through sort of a transitional phase right now, in that I just got out of a long-term relationship last month and friends I used to be pretty close with all seem to have gotten into relationships, moved out of state, etc. and are no longer available to spend much time together. So, I'd like an opportunity to meet new people, especially those who either share one of my interests or are either well-read, well-traveled or passionate enough about other things in their own lives to teach me something new.

Happy to receive and respond to PM's or, on the off-chance that anyone is semi-local, talk about getting a meet-up group together.

I'm going through a rough time in my life right now, and could really use a friend.
I'm 25, male, and live in northern California. I just moved out of the bay area because of crime in that surrounding area. I'm stressed, just lost a friend to an argument that only wound up life threatening, and am beginning to lose my sanity. I just went to the ER the other night because I ran out of medication, got a new bottle, lost it in an argument, so I'm now again without meds. Not sure I'll be able to get more any time soon, unless I claim 5150, but I don't want to do that because that means I'll have to be in the hospital a minimum of 3 days, most likely a week. I've been to the psych ward four times, and it's not fun. I have insomnia, and right now I'm having to take over the counter sleep pills. They help me sleep, but they don't help much with sanity. Hi there, everybody.

I am looking for friendships with men and women preferably 18+ years of age. I am 22 years of age, Straight Male, in the US.

I guess why I am here is because I am an Autistic that actually craves some positive social interaction. I've made a thread here in the "Getting To Know Each other" Forum Section, that actually had decent results. I got over a handful of PM's, and two or three of these people I still talk to on a regular basis. They are nice to talk to, I often talk their heads off though, and they tend to be busy a lot, or lack energy. Here is the LINK to the thread by the way. I'm not looking to move on from these people, I would just like to make some more friends on here, and get that inbox some more much needed attention you know?

I enjoy, a good laugh(I can laugh at almost anything) my favorite comedian has to be "Doug Stanhope" for his witty and controversial humor, philosophical chit chat, picking brains as well as having mine picked(not literally), and overall just random chatter about whatever is going on that day for you, me, and parts of the world.

I obtained my GED years ago. I have no job, nor do I live on my own at the moment. I do have the money to support myself though, and my intentions are to obtain a job and an apartment soon so I can become far more independent than I am now. My ideal job would be involving animals, I hope to become a Zoologist/Herpetologist one day, it is a dream of mine. I love animals and I know a lot about them so to be around them for my job would barely seem like work to me.

I do martial arts as a hobby. Really like to swim. I find it fascinating to read, hear about and learn about health, cooking delicious food both good and not good for you, and of coarse eating it. I am a fat kid at heart, I actually used to be quite overweight, but I lost over 50 lbs and am now healthy and muscular. That don't mean I'm some food/health nazi though, I love food of all kinds. Music is another passion of mine, all music really., I like it all. I really dig psychedelic rock, old metal, and old bluesy music lately. At the moment, I've dedicated myself to playing the harmonica. Luckily for me the blues and the harmonica go hand in hand! I also own an electric guitar and an acoustic, but I'm not very good at them. Honestly, I'm complete rubbish, but one day I'll improve! Harmonica is the instrument of choice for now.

I am a active person, although very laid back. I don't worry about petty things, am a no B/S kinda guy. I enjoy the company of genuine good people. I am accepting of both AS and NT. One of my first friends who I met here was an NT, they are nice. Hmm I'm not so sure what else to type here. I think if anyone is interested by what I've typed here, or think they might be interested in my personality, or you just wanna go out on a limb and try to make a nice and somewhat cool friend, gimme a hollar.

I'm 22 and I live in London, UK.
I'm undiagnosed at the moment but am seeing my GP next week to ask for an assessment. I'm pretty certain I will be diagnosed. I work with children with autism and now I know a lot about it, the signs are staring me in the face and I'm pretty sure I am autistic.

I'm really interested in military history, particularly WWII.
I like cycling because it's nicer than taking the tube and means I have to concentrate on not getting hit by buses which means I don't have time to think lots!
I have a dog who is the centre of my world.
I've just joined a canoeing club so I can make some friends.

I'm a 38 year old male who lives in central Florida. I am self-diagnosed with mild Asperger's and tend to be social but with an odd approach. Politically I am a pro-life conservative libertarian with Republican voting tendencies. Religiously, I am a born-again Christian who does have faith but does not currently attend church. As far as interests go, I enjoy playing with anything mechanical but also dabble in electronics and computers from time to time. I also enjoy history and science related topics as well as helping others around me who are in need. I neither smoke nor drink and am not exactly fond of partying. I prefer one on one contact with others to being in large groups but can be around 2 or 3 other people with no issues. More than that and I tend to go find something else to do or find somewhere to sit and be by myself. I can handle being in crowds but will usually try to turn inward into my thought life rather than deal with the irritation.

My life long special interest is cars and I enjoy working on them and building them. Ask me a question about them, and I can probably tell you 1000x as much as you would ever want to know! I even studied cars of the former communist block just to try and learn from their engineering.

I would enjoy getting to know other aspies and would like to meet a female aspie who is similar to me if at all possible.

My short stories are usually fan material. Warriors, DBZ and Zelda at the moment. Although, ever since the baby spilled water on my laptop, I found no way to go back completing those. Except start fresh.

I don't yet have confidence to make up my own story from scratch. The few short stories I did make up usually had too much of an influence from one of my favorite sources to be considered its own story
