Do your faces feel funny when you 'fake'-smile? Mine feels weird when I make facial expressions I don't actually feel. I try to still do them, but when I'm tired or just out of sorts, it's really a struggle.

My face sure does. And I agree I also feel like it's a struggle when I'm not into it or tired.

Smile? For what reason? With all of the terrible things that we humans are doing to the world, and all of that evil out there? Who the &*(&^ died and made you boss? I WILL smile when I want to, for I know I have that right. Maybe when the world is a friendlier place to live and people live up to the highest morals, may I then crack a grin. Until then, keep your damn mouth shut and think of a way to help some poor fellow in need than to bother me with such a stupid pointless command.

This is what I think when people tell me to smile, folks. I wouldn't dare say that out loud, or I would have most of my teeth missing and perhaps my jaw would be over there --->...lol Unfortunately, this is my problem. I am filled with either sadness, nervousness, or anger most of the time. It is something I am and have been working on for years, though. Hopefully, I will come within "safe" parameters soon...

Yeah... It's hard to describe, but my skin feels really tight like I'm struggling to maintain it...

I definitely hate that. I can only smile organically, usually when laughing about something. You can't even tell my mood by my facial expression. I can have a neutral/stoic expression and be very happy. People can be like, "what's wrong?" I'm like, "...nothing." Or I can feel like crap and not be having a good day and I wont show that either (I don't put my stuff on other people, no need in both our days going poorly).

Yes, that! If you did those plaster cast face masks when you were a kid, it feels like that. Like its sort of heavy and restrictive. Only not cold.

When I fake a smile I feel like I am not being honest to myself. My brain gets all confused when I show a different emotion to how I'm currently feeling inside.

Also I think too much. My mind is always chattering away with a thousand thoughts (not literally), and so sometimes I go a bit straight-faced when this happens. I do not mean to not smile.

Then sometimes when I am being sociable but feeling nervous and shy inwardly, I tend to hold a ''cheesy'' grin, which makes me come across as an idiot.

I can't win really.
