Yeah. Some people just can't handle the dark side. 8)

emo girls are hotter than goths

thats like saying that a didge viper is a cooler car than lamborghinis - cooler than the jeep lamborghini once built, yeah. cooler than a murcielago? hell, never ever.

as opposed to emo, goth is not a one look thing. its quite impossible to talk about "the goth look", because goth is probably the most heterogenous subculture ever, as its mixed together of a lot of independent things.

girl in corset and porcelain skin makeup dont float your boat? just over there is a girl in a victorian era remake dress, right next to the neofolk chick in a khaki-colored coat and skirt (complete with beret or garrison cap) or the batcave woman over there, with fishnets, teased hair and lots of stripes... and that was just a fraction of what is around and all goth.

My favorite Lamborghini would probably be a toss-up between the Countach and the Miura... but I DO like the Murcielago, too.

No different than yuppies.
There are fashion dos and donts , a pecking order posing etc.

Both culture have thier own music , magazines and stores in the mall.

No differnent.

Except yuppies probablly dont write fan mail to serial killers . . .

Not all goths are posers, thanks. If that was the case not too many aspies would be goths, but quite a few are. And few goths write fan mail to serial killers.

I'm a mixture of goth and metal head, myself.

Goths are just people who listen to certain music and wear certain clothes. It doesn't mean they are psychologically different or something is wrong with them. :)

I think your mother should be more worried if you were Emo and had access to firearms...

I have a deep respect for any way that people can be different. I like people with different styles. I wouldn't go goth myself though.

P.S. Most of the goth and emo steriotypes are so ridiculous. I can't believe people actually believe the emo cutting stereotype. It's like saying all rednecks rape their cousins. They may be more likely but it's a ridiculous steriotype.

yeah it seems like parents these days dont like goths or dont want there children to be them cuz they are bad people which not all of them are.
i was one from age 13-17
my parents didnt mind actually.
i remember my dads family saying something like your so pretty kaitlyn why do you have to wear all black clothing???
that really pissed me off!! !
yeah adults dont understand cuz the goth scene started to come out around the late 70's early 80's.

As a subculture, it doesn't bug me. I don't personally find the complicated dark clothing (I like things basic and bold) or the excessively loud music (I find it painful, but they're hardly the only ones) to be all that aggravating.

What does get me is that most of the goths I run into have very poor hygiene and stink. Not all of them, but an alarming percent that I run into do. Don't get me wrong, they tend to be nice people. But when there's this deep funk in the air and I realize they're like a walking bacteria farm, and this sort of thing happens to coincide with a very specific subculture a lot, I start to develop a certain bias, true or not.
