My dad managed it, he's very outgoing but very bizarre because of his AS. He's also kind of a fake and a brownnoser and he flatters people excessively to get what he wants; little old ladies are especially easy for him to have as clients because they enjoy the attention. He learned that imitating people's mannerisms will make them like you, so since he's prone to taking things literally he does idiotic things like trying to talk ghetto around black people. He has a solid understanding of manipulation tactics because he's a stock broker and gained most of his social knowledge from how-to-sell books for salesmen. The depressing thing is that he thinks those tactics will work on his own family and gets mad when we call him on his BS.
He's got a s**t relationship with his kids, but he's done very well at his job which he still has in this rough economy. So yes it is possible, but at great cost.
