I forgot. I also watch people to see how they interact with others, if they interest me (don't ask me what gets my interest in someone; I haven't a clue!)and also if they're a friend of my existing friends. But the main thing for me is whether I click with them :)

I actually had to think about this for a little while because, as I just realized, it's really been quite a while since I made any new friends.

Overwhelmingly my current (small) circle of friends were all met at work (almost all while at the same job, in fact.) I have a couple other friends I met by introduction from existing friends and that pretty much fills in the rest.

If you're not a colleague or a fellow student, chances are slim for any person to be my buddy. Even the people I meet through my über-socializing friend, are still pretty much 'the friend of a friend'. Only until age 5 I've made friends in another way. And except for a few temporary mates I met when I arrived in Holland, they're all still stuck in Brazil.

The only situation(s) where I'm the one approaching someone else is when I need to ask a question. But even when I must ask about something, sometimes I still don't bother. A manager at the grocery store I used to work at mentioned that theres no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid mistakes. But for me, its the other way around.

And to answer the topic question, I don't make any effort whatsoever to make friends.

2 ways I make friends is
1. I just go up to that person and say something
about them, for example: That's a pretty neat bike
or I've seen you here before

2.- Humor: alot of folks think Im funny,
I personal dont think I am. Hell my humor
Has saved my ass from many beatings and its
won peoples respect.
