I did that for the past two and a half years of my life. That's what that whole Sid from Flushed Away thing was about. I spiked up my hair, hid my lips and gave everybody hugs and rubbed their shoulders with my nose like Sid. I also had a really bad attitude problem and I was promising myself that I would never fall in love, or be a part of mainstream society, again.

Now I'm a part of mainstream society, once again and I'm listening to the British artists of the 1960s, again and in particular, my personal favourite, The Kinks.

"I've done it. It creates a lot of stress. I felt like I always had to be funny around my friends. If I wasn't funny enough, I felt like they would forget about me. Like I wouldn't of use to the group anymore."

That is my way of trying to interact with people. I dont know how to just talk. Its ither that or ramble on about special interests.

if someone is talking everyday talk. I start to analyze it and people dont like that I think. What else to do? :O

I had a friend with AS that for attention seeking, would tell scatalogical jokes and stories. It never worked, because most of our fellow students saw him as a "potty mouth". He developed a reputation with his peers at school, and very few people eventually had any time for him (he did other impulsive things also that didn't endear well with people).

Strangely enough, about 10 years out of high school he became the mayor of his community (he was very bright and was always doing "jobs" for people). The community was deeply impacted by the same flood that hit Cedar Rapids last year.

One of the local newspapers did an article about him and sadly enough one of the first things out of his mouth in the article had to do with toilets. If he had not done alot to bring his community back (with mine and others help), his penchant for scatology, sadly would be his legacy with his peers.
