A real friend is someone who not only enjoys your company but is always honest with you and they will be themselves around you. If they act phony around you, you aren't friends; that includes you if you do the same. A real friend will accept you for who you are and will not try to change you. A real friend will want to see you outside of where you meet or are forced to interact in(like school, work, events, etc). If they don't want to hang out with you or if you don't want to hang out with them, you aren't friends either. That doesn't mean you don't like each other, that simply means you are acquaintances instead. Acquaintances are those you get along with, interact with and even enjoy others company once in a while but you never see each other outside of the places you both go to. I have many acquaintances because surprisingly there are a lot of people I can talk and interact with, however we never hang out so I don't count them as friends. Right now, I can't say I have any real friends.

Presumably, that's not supposed to be a reply to my last post? I'd agree with what you say but it doesn't address the point I made!
