My relationship status is Married with a link to my husband's Facebook. It doesn't change. If it changed, it would draw a lot of concern from my friends and family. Being obsessed with relationship statuses on Facebook must be a college or high school thing, which would make sense. My step-daughter (college) gets dozens of guys "liking" when she changes her relationship status to "single".

Why on earth would I want to do that? :?
I actively avoid all that BS.

I like to know when one of my favorite authors is coming out with a new book.
I like to know when one of my favorite directors is coming out with a new movie.
I like to know when one of my favorite publishers is coming out with a new game.
I like to know when one of my favorite bands is coming to a concert house in my area.
Etc, etc, etc :)

That's me - I've been on FB almost since it started and my status still hasn't changed. :(

Facebook is not meaningful when you don't have any real friends.
