Therapist says my social skills "aren't all that bad&am
Yeah I happen to think confidence is a big piece of the puzzle. I'm a way different person than I was a few years ago. I'm still just as weird. The only thing that really changed for me was I found a group of friends who liked me for who I was, and developed some self-confidence. When this happened, my Asperger's didn't disappear. I didn't suddenly understand everything NT's did and start understanding why I made eye-contact. However, I stopped caring that I was different. When this happened, I suddenly learned to manage my Asperger's better, present it in a way that worked for me. In my opinion, that's what it's really about. It's all about accepting that you're different and going with it.
