I try to get accross what I'm trying to say but I just end up wasting bandwidth, so I try to explain it three other ways, and the listener just gets frustrated and it never gets communicated

Sometimes I talk a lot, and that's when it's too much. I end up getting into fights with people about little things.

I don't talk a lot, and I don't think I always articulate myself very well either. It comes hardest for me with people I don't know. Since I can't really relate to most people, I don't really bother to talk to them. I have nothing to say to them anyways. I would talk about my interests if I thought they actually cared.

Loquacious, one of my favourite words, and very appropriate.

When i get going i can talk forever, my family has learned to blank me out, and even when i KNOW that they aren't listening, i STILL continue talking.

When I get nervous (which is frequently), I tend to talk too much in disjointed, simple sentences. I stutter sometimes, and have a hard time finding the right words. I also can bore other people easily if I start talking about my cats too much, so I try to surround myself with animal lovers so it doesn't seem as weird.

My verbal communication is horrible, so I prefer to communicate in writing. If I have to confront someone with something unpleasant, I will not approach them in person, instead I will write out a letter/explanation because it's easier for me to get my feelings out that way.

My answer to this really depends on what you mean by articulating masterfully. I can certainly articulate what I want to say with great precision, but it takes me a long time because my processing is slower than other people's (perhaps because I'm very concerned about choosing exactly the right words in order to articulate myself clearly in the first place!). So if "masterful articulation" means the precision of your words and self-expression, then yes, that's me. But if it means the smooth rhythm and speed of one's speech, then no, I'm not articulate in that regard.

Also, I tend to be far more articulate (in both senses) when I'm angry about something. Then there is very little hesitation and a smooth, fast flow of precise words.

I almost never initiate a conversation. If I find myself involved in a conversation, it's usually one or two word answers coming from me. (Or at least, the bare minimum needed to get my point across) If I'm in a very comfortable situation with people I know, I can talk at a "regular" level.

My articulation is great if I'm comfortable, and prepared about the subject. I have a rich vocabulary, and don't usually have the Aspie "low and monotone" voice. If someone asks me a question I'm not prepared for, or disrupts my train of thought, then I'll stammer and stutter for a bit, until I figure out what to say. I'm usually pretty good as long as I can "rehearse" in my mind.

This is me! Although I think I do sometimes slip into a bit of a monotone.

Same here. I'm very articulate when I talk to myself and when I'm thinking of what to say but when I'm put in a situation where I'm expected to come up with something quickly it come out backwards and confused. That's why talking over the internet is so much better. I gives you a chance to think about what to say and put it into words that actually make sense.

I try to keep my mouth shut at school but if it is in a group that's talking abou the same thing, then I try to join in. Sometimes, I talk myself to sleep. :P If someone is trying to initiate a conversation with me, then I talk if the person is someone I am comfortable with.

I really don't alot unless I want to or need to. I really just keep my mouth shut.

I'm not all that good on expressing myself vocally, but I'm working on that.

Most days, because I have difficulty making friends, I do not talk to anyone other than myself, but when I do talk to someone, I have a nasty habit of talking really fast and swinging topics, and often go on about my obsession of that time, which is usually a person.

I think I used more words in these forums over the last couple of days than I did verbally in the last couple of months.

Same for me, except it's more like two years.

It depends upon the situation. I always crash and burn on the phone. Writing I am quite good at. I am terrible at initiating conversations. If the subject is something I am interested in and know a lot about I can handle myself quite well. Small talk and idle chit chat, forget it, I want nothing to do with that.
