I don't understand "Reality" TV shows. They don't seem very real to me. Just a lot of NTs pretending to be real…

Why should we try to understand everything? There are lots of things I enjoy without understanding them.

It's more easy to be the "innocent and pure, who didn't wanted a debate"... and sadly, it works very often. I love the "analytic" power of NTs...

Cashiers are made to ask their customers how they are. Their bosses require them to do it or else they get into trouble. Boss will even look over their shoulders to see how they are doing their job and if they don't do that small talk, who knows what the boss will do to them.

Things You Can't Understand About NTs

i can not understand how people can be blithely classified as "typical" when all their personalities are uniquely different.

people who do not have autism are not automatically "typical" (let us forget the prefix "neuro").

what is "typical" ? it is something that conforms to a "type".

how may "types" can exist?
an infinite amount.

i do not homogenize the term "type" in my concepts.

So true, see I work at the Super Market and we have a customer service policy. Not everyone wants to make small talk but we're trying to serve the customer. And make them come back to the store. For me, i thought it was all prices and deals that gets people coming back. I was apparently half wrong.

reality TV is the furthest thing from real, its drama hyped up because NTs love drama and NTs like to pretend it is real even tho many know that its not.

That is part of the reason I never want to do a cashier job.

^ This. I guess mutually comfortable silences are rare.

You have to understand that so-called NT's, especially women, always do things that don't make logical sense. You have to adjust your frame of mind to be able to 'get' why they do the things they do. I mean, I've been baffled as to why women would rather date guys who are jerks rather than guys who are nice, but that sort of thing just sparks attraction for a lot of women, and that's just something you have to accept.

I don't understand having idols or obsessions with celebrities. People fainting when they see someone 'famous' etc. will always baffle me. And then of course the same as ECJ said, why people say one thing and do something completely different.

I don't understand a lot of things about NT's, but they perceive us exactly the same way we do to them.

(Hopefully, this post will not come off as a hate post as it probably would at a NT-dominated forum. This is a rant, and a clean one at that.)

What is it about being easily offended by minor opinions these days??? If there is a law against people wearing yellow polka-dots and I agree with the law, does it automatically mean I hate those who wear polka-dots??? What if the law was there because the yellow was actually lead oxide??? And why can NT's not follow the law and rules more??? I quit reporting violations of Profanities and Profanities to Staff Members after reading about carpal-tunnel syndrome, but does it really mean that there are no rules???

Still another source of confusion is the profanity. How is it that anyone at all can use the same *-ing/*-in' word repeatedly within half a minute? Why does it even seem rebellious to them when the true rebellion against social conventions is precise and untainted speech? This one invokes the simple word, "ARRGH!! !"

There is also another confusing piece about the standard greetings (which apparently confuse others as well). Why do people always ask about how my life is when they will not always bother to discuss it?? Why do people have so little depth and so much covering? And why do I have to end up destroying my grammar just to appear normal???

If that was not enough, I also complain about how NT's expect everyone in a group to constantly speak or text (verbed since, at the latest, 2007). I think that a silence just feels better and more relaxed, because excessive communication can often mean compensation for actual depth.

Finally, what is it with chronic mispronunciation?? Can people not distinguish between the alveolar nasal approximant and the velar nasal stop??? And what about substituting a vowel for a rhotic consonant??? There is no rest with the NT's verbal errors!! !

"Whew!! !"
(Excessive punctuation is a sure sign of madness. I note that I am mad. Hence, the excessive punctuation. There is not exactly one instance of the fallacy of equivocation in these parentheses.)

Nor do I understand obsessions with Justin Beiber (the only time I actually bothered to pay attention to him was when that woman claimed that Justin Beiber was her son's father) or the Kardashians.

And that's why I go all grammar Nazi on my mom...

When you say obsessions... What do you mean? Like 'Famous Renaissance Artist' (Leonardo da Vinci) obsessions or 'Serbian Scientists' (Nikola Tesla) obsessions? 'Cause I'm under the impression that only applies to celebrities. And if it does, it's not like their trying to make life better for the common people... Seeing as how human beings can only do so much to make life easier.

Then again... Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American scientist and he invented the Alternating Current and he also had an Earthquake machine... I'm starting to wonder if he even is human.

Then in that case, Wrong Planet would have been perfect for him!
