I Have No Friends
Many friends out there, even if they are very socialable, do not stick around. Some people only want friends around where they live until they move, then they have no interest in keeping in touch. Some people get so mcuh attention that they won't have energy for those who don't share an interest to them. Try to have a backup plan to working on building friendships for something to do on your own for each event you try. Don't rush into this type of thing. I'm sure even some NTs have a hard time with this believe it or not, and sometimes it is kind of overrated actually.
I have always wanted friends and to be sociable, but it doesn't come naturally to me. I am always better in a 1 to 1 than a group. in a group i try to be friendly and talk but nothing comes, i can just literally sit there and i have nothing to say, i see so many people come into a group and within 5 minutes they are right in there chatting away and making friends. i find the effort drains away all my energy, and people think i am being miserable and anti social and not making any effort, but i'm not! they don't realise how much of an effort it was for me to even be there in the first place! Sometimes i find being around people so hard that i just shut myself away, i feel safer then and happy sometimes, but other times just bored and lonely.
The worst is on summer days going out to the park by myself, having no one i can ring or text to come along, and seeing large groups of friends together having fun and i'm just sat there by myself watching, thats when it really gets to me. or when something bad happens and i just wish i had a friend to turn to, to talk to about it and go out and get smashed or whatever. sometimes i see groups of lads and badly wish i was one of the lads too, i often think it seems cool to be a bit naughty and a bit of a lad sometimes!! !
I wish i had friends, not like millions just a few close friends, knowing how many times i could have had it and lost it is the hardest part.
This is the biography of my life too

I have 1 (relatively) new friend who is very nice but she is super-busy and overwhelmed right now with her life (she has 3 jobs for one thing) and 1 old friend who was very kind and protective of me and very close (she called me her little sister) for about 3 years , although I've known her since we were little kids (long story) but then I disappointed her too many times with my self-destructive behaviour and she got frustrated, couldn't deal with me anymore and (I think) she is now avoiding me.......she has stopped contacting me and she used to contact me quite often. So I have no one to hang out with anyways.

Yes.....I could have written the OP. I've been struggling with this lately. While reading, I thought of the cafeteria at school. Last year, I started sitting with a group of people I know, only a couple whom I actually consider my friends. These are not close friends. 9 times out of 10, I end up sitting in silence while everyone around me engages in very neurotypical, boring conversation ("..and then he said...and then she said...then they did this...") GRR.
I think I tend to use them just for the feeling of belonging to a group. I don't usually have this problem, so I don't know where the feeling of wanting to belong is coming from. Most days I spend my lunch period sitting in the library listening to my iPod. Hardly anybody comes in there so it's minimal sensory stimulation. I just like the quiet. But the library is closed when the librarian is sick (which is often), so I'm forced to go back out into the cafeteria. It makes me angry that the school doesn't set aside a place for students like me - a place we can go on the days when the library is closed. I'm not the only one who does this.
