Cutting a close friend loose
As some of your might re-call, I let a close friend go last summer because the relationship got too out of hand. This was because they just got way to clingy with me. So, we have not spoken to each other since last summer since I cut the relationship loose.
Anyway, my former close friend has been associating with a current close friend of mine since. Yet, they have known each other since 2006 and started communicating. They even used to talk to each other on the phone. It was when I cut the relationship off that things between my close friend and them turned awkward.
1. My friend says they feel like they are pulling teeth to get information about how or what the other person is doing in their lives but never tells her on her own.
2. They don't call my friend and really see how they are doing anymore. Instead, they have seemed to send them e-mails about being too busy with their lives lately and mention as to why they have not called
3. Whenever my friend says that they want to visit, this person just seems to blow her off with a "Maybe later during this year," or "Maybe during the holidays."
While I see that they are not interested in my friend, I want to know what you think happened to get them to become so turned off. Neither my close friend and I get it as to why they are suddenly so turned off to them.
What do you see?

Maybe your ex friend feels awkward about including your current friend in their lives because they realize that you are still involved with the current friend? Just a thought.
