I think she said already everything she needed to say. This other stuff here would just make him think.
I would just repeat what you already said and in a most clearest way, if he comes up again.
Like :"I said to you already that I don't like your style to speak bad about people. So leave me alone"

I was just spilling my guts about how this guy is not a good friend.

Now I need to find creative ways to avoid him at congregation when he goes.
