True. 20 yrs ago I had to accept working for a woman. It felt sort of odd at first being subordinate to a female. Here (IMO) the "social pendulum" has swung from being too masculine to too feminine. Some people still have to adjust old perceptions. It takes a while to adjust. In time, I have no doubt the "social pendulum" will swing back again.

Pity it can't stop in the middle.

I agree with you. I have yet to understand why its like this but where I work it is too female dominated. Imagine a woman admitting to that, but its the truth. We finally have about 40% male co-workers except in management which is about 95% female. I think a lot of the guys there are great except the younger guys are too overly feminine. I mean they are overly touchy feely IMO, worry too much about their clothing and hair and they don't know traditional male stuff like car care. I have to say its weird as female to know more than the guys at work about cars when the average guy there couldn't tell you where the dipstick is. No wonder the garages have trouble finding employees. Anyway yeah I think there needs to be a balance or middle ground in everything and everyone.

Sorry to say this Ticker but I have not seen much reliable females, too busy talking, nurses are the main ones, I hate not once did their check up on me too busy talking, old woman walking out of her bed with the drip thing dragging behind her, nurse tells her to go back in the room took her 2mins just to go over and help her back in her room... social worker totaly unreliable "under qualified" doesnt do any research, if anything I never really seen a reliable female, never on time allways late, for once I would like to see a female be there before me, don't care how much makeup you slaping on don't need it on anyway ( You know your skin becomes dependant on makeup ), male nurse busy doing his job...

Don't think I seen one reliable female unless its to do with them... Might just be because I meet the ones that give a bad name to woman...

And that is a very bad view to take up about males been less male, your reversing what males say about what females should be, shows we have gone the other way…

Tell you why they can't find males to do the cars, because these days a car has a cpu in them you have to hook them up to the machine, that is why, allot of old ones have left because of it... because they liked to get dirty, than a machine telling you whats wrong with it...

Yes that's my point exactly.

The thing is its more healthy to be balanced and that would mean both men and women should know at least the basics about cars and cooking. Especially Aspies should have balanced knowledge since we are less likely to have a partner/spouse. Otherwise you can't take care of things properly and when it comes to cars its bad to be clueless and let the old farts at the garage take advantage of you. One example is a friend that paid $36 to get the windshield wipers changed. I mean that is a car care basic anyone should be able to do on their own.

*On a side note I have practiced my coy female skills and had guys at auto parts stores put the wipers on for me when it was pouring rain or snowing & I didn't want my hands to get chapped being out in the cold.

I'll bet you were one of those who thought the millenium bug would get cars and refrigerators and stop them dead on 1/1/2000

There is a bit more to cars than a few cpu's.

Cars and cooking... two subjects I find incredibly dull and uninteresting. I know I'll have to learn the basics about them sooner or later because of necessity, but only reluctantly.

This is a sexist view. If I said "As far as maschilism if you are a real woman you have nothing to fear from it", what would you think of it? What is considered to be a "real man" in psychiatry could be called a "psychopath", as this is the kind of man that fears nothing.

Well... as old tomboy (or am i still...? dunno.) i'd say that if some girls are called as tomboys, geez, i call those some boys as tomgirls. Yeah, i know it is pretty weird logic, but i haven't figured out explanation for that either.

Why would a computer just stop working because the date is wrong? Why do you all assume that mainframes use the same method of keeping track of the date as the very few DOS computers that are effected?
